3D Nipple Tattoos (Areola Restoration), Scar Camouflage
Also known as paramedical tattoos or paramedical pigmentation (PMP), medical tattoos are designed to conceal, camouflage, and minimize the appearance of scars and other skin conditions. Areola restoration helps clients embrace life post-cancer/post-masectomy by creating realistic 3D nipples and to camouflage surgical scars by blending them into a matching skin tone. Scar camouflage can also be used to conceal other types of scars such as burns, self-harm scars, hyperpigmentation, and other surgical scars.
Medical tattoos are customized for each individual because every situation is different and each client has different goals in mind. During consultation, a customized plan will be created that fits each person's needs whether that is just scar camouflage, partial 3D nipple, or a combination of both.
Medical tattoos are meant to boost confidence, enhance your natural look after an augmentation, blend scars into your normal skin tone, and take your next step into healing by commemorating this part in your journey.
When can you get tattooed?
Before a medical tattoo can be considered, the area must be fully healed. In most cases, one year is the typical time frame for healing post surgery or injury, however, every person heals different and some may take longer. It is also very important that any treatments like chemotherapy and radiation are completed before getting tattooed.
All appointments require a consultation. For inquiries about costs or to see if you are a candidate for this treatment, contact Lindsey at linlindesign@gmail.com and include photos of the scar site.
